
Part archival visit, research interview and creative workshop FABULATIONS is a one-to-one performance that archives the unrecorded experiences of Section 28 for LGBTQ+ youth, 1988 – 2003.
The Performance
Fabulations works in three stages, which audience-participants can engage with in any order.
Letters from the archive: audience-participants are invited to explore the existing archive of Section 28 through letters written to Stop the Clause Campaign (1987 – 88).
My archive: audience-participants are invited to explore artefacts from my youth which archive my experience of Section 28 (1990 – 2002) A new archive
A new archive: audience-participants are invited to contribute to a new archive of the previously unrecorded experiences of Section 28 for LGBTQ+ youth 1988 – 2003 through an Exquisite Corpse.
Fabulations lasts the length of Beverley Knight’s 1998 album Prodigal Sista (54 minutes).

Audience-participants
I am looking to talk with LGBTQ+ identifying performance makers (of all disciplines) who were educated in England, Scotland or Wales during the span of the legislation (1988 – 2003).
Audience-participants will need to read the full information sheet regarding the research and then complete and sign an informed consent form before scheduling the interview.
